There are two deals I want to bring to your attention at Kroger. When you purchase $100 of select gift cards (and use your Kroger Plus card at the same time), you'll receive an instant $10 off at the checkout. All items must be purchased in the same transaction. Limit of 5 deals per Kroger Plus card through the end of the sale, December 13. Be advised that not all gift cards are included in this promo! For more details, go
here.
Joy to the wireless world! In the market for a new phone? My daughter got one in the last i-wireless promo at Kroger, and she is loving it. It's a pre-paid phone, and she's responsible for putting extra minutes on it, which is teaching her responsibility at the same time it's saving me money. For every $100 I spend at Kroger, she receives 20 free airtime minutes! The phone can be linked to two Kroger Plus cards at the same time, so between Grandma's card and mine, Kimberlie is doing mighty fine on free minutes!
There's another special going on right now, offering 500 minutes of free airtime when you buy an i-wireless phone. It's on
Kroger's website as well as in
this week's ad (Louisville region), although the
i-wireless website states "The 500 minute holiday offer is not valid on phones purchased at Fred Meyer or any Kroger convenience store location."
So I'm a little confused about this promo.
Update from my i-wireless friend: "In response to your blog post about the 500 minutes offer in Fred Meyer and convenience stores – Fred Meyer is owned by Kroger and has their own offer (400 minutes) because they have an electronics department within their store (think Walmart or Target). Also, Kroger has a host of convenience stores they own (Turkey Hill, etc) that have their own program running as well. The 500 minutes is good in all ‘Kroger’ branded stores, as well as Dillons, King Soopers, Food4Less, Fry’s, QFC, Smith’s and Ralphs. Hope this clears it up for you!" So there you have it!
Select i-wireless phones are on sale at Kroger when you use your Kroger Plus card this week. Plus, there's a $20 e-coupon from
Shortcuts that can make this deal even sweeter. There are also reports of a $20 coupon floating around in Kroger mail-outs.
One more Kroger deal to watch for (more details later!): this Friday, December 4, will be a
50% off day for select Keebler and Kellogg's products! Get ready to stock up! Different markets have this on different days, so be sure to check your local Kroger ad to verify when your store is doing this.
